The Big Banyan's Chateau de Banyan Wines:

The Rotarian's Wine Fellowship of India, and Big Banyan's Chateau de Banyan wines, a new entrant to Bangalore, went through its first event - an exclusive Winemaker's sit-down dinner accompanied by a fine selection of Chateau de Banyan wines.

The Wines

Chateau de Banyan Chenin Blanc
Delicate aromas, light and fruity with hints of yellow apple, white melon, peach, mixed with light spicy notes of coriander and thyme. Palate is dry, fresh, fruity, lightly aromatic, well balanced and moderately acidic

Chateau de Banyan Suvignon Blanc
Aromas reminiscent of Capsicum and gooseberry with some nuances of pineapple and white peach. Very fresh palate of citrus fruit, lime, dry, slightly sour with a smooth finish

Chateau de Banyan Zinfandel
Intense fruity aromas of cherry, violets and rose with hints of pomegranate, with a palate refreshingly gentle with smooth and soft finish

Chateau de Banyan Shiraz
Rich notes of blueberries, blackberries and raspberries with intense spicy tones. Palate is dry, harmonious, fruity, with velvety tannins

Chateau de Banyan Cabernet Sauvignon
Complex aromas, spicy notes reminiscent of eucalyptus and sweet fruit, fragrant scent of oak. Palate is dry, full bodied with good structure and velvety tannins

The evening included a brief introduction to wine, followed by wine tasting led by the winemaker with a sit-down 4 course dinner. The dinner was carefully prepared to match the wines.
